GOOD NEWS: Starting Tuesday, September 5th a new bridge will be constructed on Highway 188, east of Fish Tales (the small bridge between Fish Tales and Sunset Harbor Bar). The not-so-good-news is that the bridge will be closed to traffic for a month or two. If you are coming from the west (Sauk Prairie, etc) you are NOT affected. It will ONLY affect those coming to Fish Tales from the east on Highways 113 or 188 (Lodi, Okee, Merrimac Ferry.) Many of you know the easy way around this. If you need a little help, here’s some info:
See link here for area map.
DETOUR: The official detour will send you out to Highway 60. However, Highways 113 and 188 are open to all County Trunk Highways and county roads. Only the bridge segment in between Fish Tales and Sunset Harbor is closed to traffic.
FROM LODI (Hwy 113), turn left on County Road J (5 miles), turn right on East Harmon Rd (1 mile) to Fish Tales.
FROM OKEE (Hwy 113), take County Road V west (2 miles) toward Slacks, turn right onto County Road J (1 mile), turn right on East Harmon Road (1 mile) to Fish Tales.
FROM MERRIMAC FERRY (Hwy 188), turn right onto Highway 188 (1 mile), turn left onto County Road V at Sunset Harbor (1 mile), turn right onto County Road J (1 mile), and turn right on East Harmon Road (1 mile) to Fish Tales.
